*** David Macdonald has the wife of Elmer S. Wolverton as "Martha Ann Rankins."
On findagrave.com, there are two different individuals listed as spouses of Elmer:

* Agnes Mattie Rankin (1866-1950) "Agnes M. Wolverton" on inscription
* Martha Wolverton (1852-22 Nov 1887) "Wife of E.S. Wolverton" on inscription

These are definitely different individuals as they have different gravestones; Agnes' stone matches Elmer's. Per Macdonald, Martha was also known as "Mattie" so it appears that information for these two individuals has been confused. My speculation is that Elmer may have remarried after Martha's death and that Agnes was his second wife. This is outside of the scope of Macdonald's book, so there is no information yet to support this.
