from Emma Ten Broeck Runk:
"Dinah Woolverton was born March 26, 1711. The second daughter of Charles (1). Her christian name was carried down in the family for several generations, but her married name has not been found, if she did marry, thus no further data is available.
from Carl Wolverton
From David Macdonald:
"Dinah married, around 1732 to estimate from the date of birth of her first son, (1)Andrew Pettit, who probably died in 1748. He was the son of Nathaniel Pettit and Elizabeth Heath. Andrew Heath of Hopewell Township, Hunterdon County, left a will dated 3 January 1716/7 in which he mentioned his son-in-law, Nathaniel Pettit, and grandchildren; Elizabeth, Abigail and Andrew Pettit. Of Andrew Heath's daughters, only Elizabeth was in a position to be Nathaniel Pettit's wife.
There is no direct proof that Andrew Pettit's wife Dinah was born Dinah Woolverton, but is [sic] has long been assumed to be the fact. Dinah was not a common name, and perhaps the most persuasive evidence is that the eldest of the children of Andrew and Dinah Pettit was named Charles, a Woolverton name but not a Pettit name. Moreover, the connections between the two families were close. Dinah's brother Dennis married Andrew Pettit's sister Elizabeth, and Dinah's brother Thomas married Andrew Pettit's sister Mary.
The account of a Dinah Pettit was included in the estate of Thomas Furman of Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, who died in 1749.
Dinah Pettit, a Quaker of Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, was appointed administratrix of the estate of Andrew Pettit of Amwell Township, on 21 October 1748, and Job Robins, of the same place, was fellowbondsman. Witnessed by Anne Rockhill. The inventory was made by Job Robins, Mansfield Hunt, and Amos Thatcher.
Dinah married (2) Jonathan Furman, of Amwell Township, son of Samuel Furman and Elizabeth Roberts. Elizabeth Roberts, wife of Samuel Furman, was the daughter of Thomas Roberts (c 1636-1679) and Sarah Strickland.
By instrument dated 23 February 1765 Charles Pettit, Nathaniel Pettit, and Elizabeth Pettit recited that Andrew Pettit, late of Amwell Township, died intestate leaving Charles Pettit, Nathaniel Pettit, and Elizabeth Pettit as his children and heirs, and that the administration of his estate was granted to their mother, Dinah Pettit, widow and relict of their father, Andrew Pettit, who had since married Jonathan Furman of Amwell Township. They acknowledged receipt of their share of their father's estate.
Dinah Furman's last known appearance in the public records was in 1779, when she appeared in the tax rolls of Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County."
