MYERS
Anita M. Myers, 87, of 674 Jennings Road, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born October 25, 1915, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie G. (Edwards) McPike. On October 13, 1940, she married Robert W. Myers, who died August 29, 1998.
Mrs. Myers worked at the former A&P Grocery in Van Wert for more than 23 years. She was a graduate of Hoaglin Jackson High School and a member of the former Hyler Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, which merged with the Van Wert Eastern Star chapter. She enjoyed making wedding cakes, gardening and raising sheep.
Survivors include a son, Keith Myers of Van Wert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Myers to a charity of donor's choice.
