Born Nov. 12, 1919 in Columbiana County, Ohio to Rev. William C. and Bessie May McCleery, Margaret Ann Wolverton, 89, passed away Oct. 11, 2009 at her home.

A 1942 graduate of Muskingum College, she majored in Home Economics. She married Warner S. Wolverton on Dec. 24, 1948. They were married 56 years before his death in 2005. She retired from teaching in the Newark City Schools in 1986. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church for 61 years and active in the Newark community.

She is survived by four daughters, one son and their spouses. Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her brother, Ralph (Betty) McCleery of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and by a brother, William McCleery.

A private family inurnment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
