The following is an excerpt from a 1963 Stanley family history booklet written by his uncle:

Marvin graduated from Univ. of Michigan
in 1949, with a B.S. degree,
major in Chemistry.
Marvin served as engineer for the
National Board of Fire Underwriters
until ill health caused by
multiple sclerosis compelled his retirement.
He married Darlene Kirby
Prince April 18, 1959, and
had one adopted child, Patrick
Prince, born Jan. 22, 1952.
