services for Everett E. (Gene) Abbott, 67, of Nebraska City, Nebraska, will be held at 2 P.M., on Wednesday, November 17, 1993, at Gude Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Norman Morriss officiating.

Mr. Abbott, who was born on January 4, 1926, in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska, the son of Adrian and Nora (Jones) Abbott, died at his residence on November 13, 1993.
He was married in Falls City, Nebraska on August 15, 1950, to Margaret Bolton and precedes her in death.

He is also survived by two daughter, Mrs. Bob (Kathi) Curtis of Vancouver, Washington, and Sherry Abbott of Sacramento, California; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Delbert (Lola) Barrett of Fremont, Nebraska, Martin and his wife Lorraine Abbott of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Darold and his wife Janice of Elmwood, Wanda Barrett of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Tom and his wife Mary Lou Abbott of Las Vegas, Nevada, Vernus Abbott of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Larry Abbott of Union, Nebraska. obit courtesy of Marty lmskally@netins.net

Margaret Ellen Abbott was born March 25, 1930 at Malvern, the daughter of Will and Nancy M. (Polston) Bolton. She attended school in Malvern, Iowa and graduated from the Malvern High School.

She was united in marriage to Everett Eugene "Gene" Abbott on August 15, 1950 in Falls City, Nebraska.
Margaret worked for many years at the former Tober's Clothing Store in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Prior to working there, she worked at the former Hinky Dinky Grocery Store in Nebraska City.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Nebraska City and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping and traveling. She loved spending her Friday evenings getting together and sharing with other widow ladies in the community. obit courtesy of Marty lmskally@netins.net
