LILA JUNE MORELAND-HELLER, age 84, of Frostproof, Florida, formerly of Mount Liberty, Ohio, passed away on Saturday March 7, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Florida.
She was born on June 6, 1930 in Knox County to the late LeLand G. “Dick” and Dortha (Myers) Larimore.
June graduated from Centerburg High School in 1948 and lived in Mount Liberty. She is a former member of the Milford Church of Christ, Central Church of Christ and First Christian Church in Frostproof, Florida. June worked for Farm Bureau Insurance in Columbus, Ohio, and retired from Mound Builders Guidance Center in Mount Vernon after 23 years of service. She also raised a great family as well as being a Band Booster for Centerburg High School. Most of all she loved being around her family and friends.
June is survived by her husband, Loren Heller; sons, Ed (Janie) Moreland of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and David (Debra) Moreland of Mount Vernon, Ohio; a daughter, Connie Alicie of Kansas City, Missouri, step-daughter, Pam (Greg) Gastelum of Hudson, Illinois; grandchildren, Brian (Cathy) Alicie, Beckie (Andrew) VanHouten, Nate (Barbie) Alicie, James (Alicia) Alicie, Joshua (Trisha) Moreland, Andrew (Ginger) Moreland, Courtney Moreland, Sarah (Drew) Hysell, Emily (Zach) Lukkarila, Kelly Moreland, step-granddaughter, Renee (Jason) Collins; 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren; a brother, William Larimore of Centerburg, Ohio; sisters, Wilma (Roy) Mahlon of Florida, and Dorothy Eyster of Centerburg, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, June is preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Moreland; sister, Charlotte Barnes and a brother, Robert Larimore.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 12, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home; 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 with a funeral service on Friday March 13, 2015 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Roger Crego officiating. Burial will take place in Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg, Ohio.
