Wilbur Allen Kingree Jr., 85, of Edinburg passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock.

The funeral will be held Friday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Reverend Timothy Teates will officiate. Burial will be private in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Mr. Kingree was born June 8, 1928 in Edinburg. He was a 1946 graduate of Edinburg High School. He retired in 1990 from Dominion Virginia Power after 43 years and worked for F & M Bank for six years. He was a lifetime member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Gladys Coffman Kingree Pifer and William Ford Pifer; father, Wilbur A. Kingree Sr. and brother, William Pifer.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Cora Miller Kingree; son, Daryl Allen Kingree of Edinburg; daughter, Kara Kingree- Long and Richard S. Long of Harrisonburg; sisters and brother, Doris Ann George and Ralph of Edinburg, Donnie Pifer and Barbara of Mt. Jackson, Mary Sue Polk and Earl of Manassas Park and Emma Kingree Kerns of North Carolina; grandchildren, Katrina Kingree-Barr and husband Terry, Wendy Kingree Cook and husband Clay, Trent Allen Kingree and wife Bettina, Tonya Kingree Hall and significant other Chad See, Blake Long, Alex Long and Whitney Long; five great grandchildren, Hunter Barr, Colton Barr, Mason See, Jera Grace Cook and Jedidiah Cook.

Pallbearers will be Clay Cook, Terry Barr, Chad See, Dennis George, Brian Polk, Dion Pifer and Leslie Hollar.

Honorary pallbearers will be Burgess Dellinger, Richard Burner, Richard Sollenberger, Charles "Shot" Wilkins, Leslie Warr and Steve White.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wilbur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather to his wife of 65 years, Cora and the family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
