LALUMIA -- Walter Alexander LaLumia, age 48, passed peacefully October 24, 2006 in his home in Cedar City, UT, surrounded by his loved ones.
He fought a courageous battle with cancer, rarely complaining and always thinking of others.
He was born on November 11, 1957 in Albuquerque, NM to Emanuel and Margaret (Peggy) LaLumia.
Walter was a man of many talents and loved to work whether on or off the job. He was a loving, kind, generous man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His pride and joy was his family. Walter was married to Gayla (Fennell) Gilchrist and had three beautiful children, they were later divorced.
Walter found his soul mate, Robyn. They enjoyed six loving years in which they brought their children together and between them all, an amazing family bond was formed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Angela Stark; and brother, Alex LaLumia. He is survived by his loving wife, Robyn; his children, Andrea, Matthew, Daniel, and Samantha; siblings: Sandy LaLumia of New Port, RI; Mary Ann Hoffman of Youngstown, OH; Anthony (Edith) LaLumia of Wichita, KS; Peggy (Chuck) Jourden of Albuquerque, NM; Emily LaLumia (Moss Aubrey) of Albuquerque, NM; Rita LaLumia (Ed Mahoney) of Chattanooga, TN; childhood friend, Ray Gallegos; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
And not to forget his brown dog, Kobe "Buddy."
Walter was very grateful to his employer PacifiCorp, and all co-workers who supported him both before and during his illness.
Walter departed this world as a member in good standing of A.A.
