Shirley Hopper
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Shirley Ann (Kelley) Hopper are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud.
Rev. Wayne Taylor will officiate.
Interment will be at Cummings Cemetery in Maud under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home, Maud.
She died Sept. 7, 2003, at the age of 66 in Norman Regional Hospital.
She was born Dec. 25, 1936 in Washington, Pa. to Guy Merle Kelly and Veronica Kathryn (Powers) Kelley.
She attended elementary school in Nineva, Pa. and graduated high school in 1955 from Waynesburg, Pa.
She was married to Charles Hopper Aug. 24, 1962 in Waynesburg, Pa. and moved to Maud that same year.
She worked at Gene's Quick Stop in Maud for 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Merle Hopper on Aug. 3, 1969; one sister, Bonnie Crouse; and one brother, Oliver Kelley.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Hopper of the home; one son, Mike Hopper of Tulsa; one daughter, Christi Riddle of Maud; two brothers, Merle Kelley and Jack Kelley, both of Waynesburg, Pa.; one sister, Kate Redman of Jefferson, Pa. and two grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Randy Crawford, Brandon Remington, John Riddle, Toby Renfro, Neal Hurst and Robert Hopper.
Honorary casket bearers are Herschel Bunyard, Stan McDaniel and Paul Gilham.
