J. D. HUGHES, 50, DIES; FUNERAL TO BE HELD SUNDAY
J. D. Hughes, 50, died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon in his home between Huntsville and Moberly. He had been in failing health some time.
Mr. Hughes was a son of the late John and Lena Hughes. He had been employed 20 years by the Connors Tire Company. Mr. Hughes was a member of the Huntsville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Faye; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald Walker, Route 2, and Miss Beverly Hughes, of the home; one son, Calvin Hughes, also of the home; six sisters, Mrs. Hugh Wright, Mrs. Jesse Reed and Mrs. Charles Merry, Huntsville; Mrs. Warren McAllister and Mrs. William Thomas, Moberly, and Mrs. Earl Penton, Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Mason Hughes, Huntsville; Del Henry Hughes, Moberly, and John Lee Hughes, state of California, and one grandson, Terry Walker, Moberly.
The body is at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Huntsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Deward Scott, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery
