Her parents are Rev. Robert Henry Franks and Laura Allice Woolverton Franks. She married C. Oscar Hamman 11 May, 1913 and they had two children.

Mrs. Pearl Hamman, 81, died Tuesday night, August 17, in Amarillo, where she had lived since 1957. Born Pearl Franks on October 22, 1894, at Luling, she was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. R.H. Franks. She moved with her family to Newberg, Ark., as a young child and in 1912, they came to Collingsworth County. Rev. Franks farmed south of Wellington. She was married to Charley Oscar Hamman on May 11, 1913, at Loco. They farmed three and one-half miles northwest of Dodson, where she lived 45 years. Mr. Hamman died August 3, 1950.
She was an active member of the Dodson Methodist Church for many years and tood part in other activities of that community. Since moving to Amarillo, she became a member of the San Jacinto Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Elbert Warren, Amarillo; two grandchildren, Lyndel Warren and Mrs. Michael Lamkin of Amarillo; and on great-grandchild; a brother, Rev. N.T. Franks of Sayre, Oklahmoa; and a sister, Mrs. Opal Pennington of Sudan.
