Church services for Glen Dalton Harris, 79, of Muleshoe is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Dr. Stacy Conner and the Rev. Glenn Harlin officiating. Burial will be at the Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe.

Mr. Harris died Sunday, July 6, 2003 at his residence. He was born Feb. 22, 1924 in Boonesville, Texas. He married Leona Richardson in Duncan, Okla. On May 11, 1947. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII. He moved to Bailey County in 1950 from Marlow, Okla. And moved to Muleshoe in 2002. He was a farmer and was employed by the Bailey County, Pct 2 for 12 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Muleshoe. He was preceded in death by a son, David Glen in 1984; a daughter, Cynthia Lea King in 1978; a sister, Juanita Smiley; and two brothers, James and Bobby Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Leona of Muleshoe; daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Barry Wilson of Muleshoe; sister, Bonnie Barnard of Marlow, Okla., Trell Taylor of Friona, and Dorothy Self of Dimmitt; brothers, Melvin Harris of Clifton, and Dean Harris of Lubbock; grandsons, Brandon Wilson, and Lloyd King; and two great-grandchildren.
