Research Notes: Husband - Marion KOONE

Because she had given 3 sons to the Civil War, Marion's mother insisted
that he fo live in a cave from his bi.urthday when he turned 18 until the
war was over about 6 months later. His brother Daniel went on daily
"hunting" trips leaving whatever he killed plus his lunch and whatever
supplies he could bring with him.
Daniel did this through the winter even though he had Whooping Cough. He
had a cough for the rest of his life as a result.
