Research Notes: Husband - Thomas Jefferson HALBROOK

Thomas Jefferson Halbrook and Aaron Halbrook took the gold fever in the
forty nines, went with a caravan to California where Aaron died. Thomas
returned to Salt Lake City, married a girl that the Mormons had brought
over from England, later left the city, the Mormons confiscating his
property, and returned to Arkansas practically penniless with his wife and
one child. He obtained sufficient education to teach in the rural schools
for a time, served as surveyor of Conway county. He reared three
children.
