Death of Dr. A. J. Wolverton.

After a lingering illness which had been bourne with splendid fortitude Dr. A. J. Wolverton died at Ardmore Thursday night. In his death Ardmore loses one of her most public spirited men and the territory an ideal citizen. The decedent occupied a high place in his profession and was identified with various business enterprises throughout the territory. For a number of years he has been president of the City National bank at Ardmore and the rapid growth of that strong institution has, in a large measure, been attributable to his careful guidance of its affairs. Dr. Wolverton leaves a wife and six children to mourn his death, all of whom were present at his death bed. The interment took place yesterday and during the hour of the services all of the business houses of Ardmore were closed as a tribute to the honored dead."
